Carseat on the Airplane — yes or no?
We’re starting to think about our trip to England next summer, and one of the questions, of course, is whether or not to bring Boo’s carseat.
I’m leaning towards bringing it. The main reason not to, of course, is money, but he will be quite close to two and highly unlikely to fall asleep on our laps. The sucker is BIG though and HEAVY. I have, however, found two options for carrying or wheeling it through the airport! 1) This nifty bag or 2) this nifty backpack. WIll have to see what style will suit us best.
The other reason to bring it, of course, is that we’ll likely be picked up by a car once we’re there!
Some other tips I’ve read about — board early, ask for a seatbelt extender to make it easier to install and uninstall, it can go in any seat as long as it doesn’t extend over the edge of the seat, know beforehand where the FAA approved sticker is, and flip the buckle upside down when installing (otherwise it’s pressed against the edge of the seat and hard to undo!).
