Tag, you’re it!

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Sarah has tagged me! Lucky me :)

The rules:
1) Link to the person who tagged you.
2) Post the rules.
3) Share six non-important things / habits / quirks about yourself.
4) Tag at least three people.
5) Be sure the people you tagged KNOW you tagged them by commenting what you did. Ok lets see if I can even think of 6 random things about myself that are even mildly interesting.

1) I have a not-so-healthy fear of cheese graters.

2) Both of my thumbs are double jointed. This always freaked out my piano teachers.

3) I highly dislike dealing with raw meat and wash my hands excessively whilst doing so. It’s a wonder I’m not vegetarian simply because of it.

4) I will cover every available elevated surface in the house with piles of random things, but I cannot stand stuff on the floor.

5) I played piano for 14 years (ages 4-18) and as a result I still can’t stand to have my fingernails go over the edge of my finger.

6) I get my hair cut once a year.

So now I need to tag three people….. 1) Tania 2) Megan 3) Liane. I’m really sorry if you have being tagged! Have fun!

Is that fast?

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

According to the speed test below, which Wordpress is barfing all over their nice little box, I type 71 words per minute. I really sort of hate WP. Anyway, kinda cool, but no reference to whether or not that’s actually any good!

I’m Angora

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Found this cute little quiz via Ravelry and discovered that I’m Mohair. Except it lies. I was one point off Angora, and seriously, I’m way more Angora, right? Cute little bunnies? Strive for harmony? So totally Angora.

Mohair – A smooth, polished surface
“Mohair is warmer than wool, with larger, flatter scales that contribute to an overall silky-smooth appearance. The fiber absorbs dye readily and, thanks to that smooth surface, reflects it back brilliantly.” –The Knitter’s Book of Yarn

Mohairs are positive and confident. You always strive to make a good first impression because you are a proud person, and you care a good deal about what people think of you. You are careful with your words and are always tactful. You enjoy having a broad base of support and respect from those whom you come in contact. You attract this with your warm, sunny, and inquisitive personality.
Angora – Soft and warm
“Angora has a warmth that rivals cashmere and softness that rivals qiviut. Best of all, it comes from cute little bunnies that look for all the world like furry footstools with ears.” –The Knitter’s Book of Yarn

Angoras are eager to please and are highly sensitive. Flexibility and adaptability are your strengths and sometimes your weakness, as well. You are essentially a warm and feeling person, and little escapes your impressionable mind. You are generous with others and strive for harmony in your relationships.

Total geek, but not the geekiest

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

i am a total geek

Apparently I am a total geek, but that’s far short of a geek god! I think we already knew that. I actually had some trouble answering some of these things.. some I know completely by relationship friendship default and not through any true geeky qualities of my own. Oh well :)

P.S. That screen completely reminds me of hours in the 24 hour computer lab at college!

I am plentiful but not hot

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Your Score: Salt

You scored 25% intoxication, 0% hotness, 50% complexity, and 25% craziness!

You are Salt!

You may be bland, but life just wouldn’t be the same without you. You’re plentiful and you come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colours. You bring out the flavour in whatever you touch and have been the world’s best preservative for millennia. You rock.
